Dave Schuelke here with The Twin Home Experts. I want to go ahead and give you insight on why Uponor PEX is a much superior product than copper pipe. As you can see here, copper plumbing ran underground here to pick up this island sink. You can see the burst here that happened, but you can also tell how corroded this copper pipe is. We went ahead and replaced it with PEX piping, and we’re going to go ahead and now insulate this PEX so the soil doesn’t touch it, but this will never corrode. And here’s our connection right here, copper to PEX.

Anyhow folks, I wanted to go ahead and show you why it’s important to stay away from copper underground. You get less likelihood if you use PEX to have that slab leaking. Anyhow, hopefully this gave you some insight on how to choose, whether it be PEX or copper. Hopefully, this helped. Thanks for watching.
