Don't Forget To Ask Your Home Services Provider These Questions

As everyone is quarantined, property owners are still going to be faced with plumbing leaks, drain stoppages, water heater issues, mold growth and water damage issues. We wanted to share this post, as we feel this could help prevent the spread at the same time of taking care of the emergency service call. Here are the 5 steps we are taking and you should take or expect when calling a home service provider to your home for an estimate or inspection.
1- ESTIMATES: This is obviously the first point of concern, and most property owners want 3 to 4 estimates, but the last thing you want is to have that many people come through your property. Use FaceTime, Skype or send videos /photos of the issues and obtain your quotes from there.
2- SAFETY MEASURES: Once you choose your service provider. Make sure you ask what their safety protocols are. At a minimum, rubber gloves, shoe covers and a mask should be required. Business cards should not be exchanged as normal either, information can be exchanged through text or email.
3- ANTI VIRUS DISINFECTANT: If your home service provider has a disinfectant for the corona virus, make sure you request the information prior to his arrival and that you’ll require him to disinfect all work areas. Like ours, it’s CDC approved, this is just extra added protection.
4- VEHICLES: Make sure you ask how their disinfecting their vehicles and verifying if their the only ones assigned to that service vehicle.
5- TOOLS: Disinfecting tools are very imperative in and before every call. Make sure that they also lay plastic to lay their tools on.
